Looking to advance your practice with a stronger arm balance, inversion and handstand practice?

 

This is an all-level workshop curated with a progressive sequence to help you develop awareness and confidence in your arm balance and inversion journey. We will practice the progression to float and fly, through building upon the foundation of a well-executed “vinyasa” (plank, chaturanga, updog, downdog) with a focus on proper technique and alignment. We will explore the transitions of the jump back and jump through to both standing and seated. This workshop will be woven together through a playful flow designed to properly prepare and recover from a strong inversion practice.

 

We will cover:

Inversions

•⁠  ⁠Headstand (Salamba Sirsana)

•⁠  ⁠Forearm stand (Pincha Mayurasana

•⁠  ⁠Handstand (Adho Mukha Vrksasana)

 

Arm Balancing  

(Specific poses and variations will be chosen depending on accessibility and levels of students)

•⁠  ⁠L-sit and Lolasana

•Crow pose and Side Crow (Bakasana & Parsva Bakasana)

•⁠  ⁠Firefly Pose (Tittibhasana)

•⁠  ⁠Eight Angled Pose (Astavakrasana)
